Two of them are silver, one of Paua and Dolphin design. My junk ring fell apart into 3 pieces, drats. Also found a heavy necklace from Jeruselum which is quite cool. Oh, and a tonne of sinkers.

On the hunt with Mudwiggle

Trip # 136

Met up with Mudwiggle for a hunt at our local beach. Weather and conditions were good and we managed a few finds between us including a neck charm and an old ring. My best find was a 50 cal bullet shaped into a whistle i'm guessing.

Approx 10 coins all up, a ring, a charm and a big 50 cal bullet.

Some of the finds

Had second thoughts about the 50 Cal 'whistle'.... What about bottle opener?

Hmmm, let me see. "chik" glug glug. Yip, it's a bottle opener and not a whistle as thought. Cheers for that.

Beach meetup with Crisyboy

Trip # 138

Fossicking trips have been once a month of late with each one requiring a drive to the other side of the bay. Not so bad as the scenary on the beach is always a welcome sight as the weather gets warmer.
Detecting away and who should turn up but Crisyboy. Straight away he gets a ding and yip, a cool old ring, right next to me...
I had already been hunting for most of the day and a 1917 English penny was my top find and around 20 bucks in spendables. Found 5 goldies in one hole and another had around 10 five cent pieces and a NZ penny in it, bit of a glory hole there. Further along Crisyboy scores a beaut 1873 florin (one tenth of a pound).

10 goldies, 49 coins all up, mostly decimals.
UK 1873 florin (one tenth of a pound)
UK 1917 penny
NZ 1950 penny
Barbados 1979 one dollar (has 7 sides)

For the second time now me mate has come over to borrow my detector to find a missing part off his line trimmer. The round metal bit where the line comes out the spool. Pick it up tomoro. Hmmm... watching your detector heading off down the driveway without you.
Anyhows, i will probably be in Mt Maunganui (Tauranga) Xmas week. Anyone want to tee up PM me.

A possible military flat button in the mix

You did well to recover that Becks bottle intact - it looks in mint condition.

A good day teeing up with Mudwiggle. Cheers for the ride. We trolled the local haunts and had a good time. Found some cool parking at the beach the scenary was choice.

2 goldies, 15 coins all up and my smaller digging tool.
