yes they are..but the better the system the better the software in them...lol...also they have diff frequency's..like the F2 runs at 5.9 kHz where as the goldbug runs at 19 kHz...hahaha

Gottcha... I have been doing some study on the makeup of detectors lately and can see the varying thoughts and schematics out there... well when I am done saving up for a pinpointer I will start up saving for a better one. is there really that big of a difference with the varying detectors? like the goldbug and the F2... I know the F2 is made for a general use and such and the Gold bug is made for gold... lol... As far as I have seen with my fisher, which can target a syringe needle!, so what would the advantages of getting the Gold bug or the F75? or even the F4/5?

well from what i understand if you go hunting real gold like nuggets and such you will most likly be hunting area's with hot rocks which will make the F2 sing all the time..where as with the goldbug it is designed to block most of that out to a point hence the reason it is designed for gold with the 5 inch coil...apperantly the goldbug 2 is even better in this feild and has a higher kHz again for detecting even smaller nuggets..but it isnt a good allround machine as it doesn't have
the disc mode or LCD screen to show you the readouts.....all it has a swich for blocking is iron.
The F75 is the fisher top of the line and is very good at seperating out the trash from the good stuff once you get use to it's many settings and from what i have read is also good for gold...
As i found out when i was out with robert one time he got two signals and he asked me to go over it with my bug..i only had the one signal and it was bouncing around...he switched modes on his F75 and he got the 2 targets and was able to say which was trash and which was a coin..so we dug them..they were side by side and he was right..lol..
so again it came down to software i think as he was able to pick the two out...
So i guess it really boils down to what you are after...if you are just coin a relic hunting or rings and such then the F2 will be fantastic for that...if later on you are wanting to hunt nuggets as well then you will need to get a gold machine.
But dont get me wrong the F2 will most likly find gold as well it just wont handle the hotrocks as good.

Also to give you another indication of the differences...i have posted this in the past but will do so again here...i was out with madsonicboating and karl...dan has the F2 and carl has the mindlab E trak..and of course me and my goldbug....i had my small bottle with my gold nugget in it....at one of the parks we were at i threw it on on the ground as we wanted to do a test....both the F2 and the E trak got there weekest signal at about 3 inches above the nugget..i got my weekest signal at about 7 inches above the nugget..and we all had about the same size coil...
Another indication is.....Lammerlaw has a mindlab...he invied 1864 hatter to his property..hatter has the gold bug...now i dont know how long they were out
but at the end of it hatter had 8 grams of gold and lammerlaw or his son had 2 grams....lammerlaw.(Graham) was so immpressed that the following week or so he bought him and his son a goldbug..

So to answer you question about "is there that big a difference between machines" i say yes there is..lol...
ok thats enough typing for me for a while..lol

Thanks for that... as I am in the north island I guess I have the best detector for my area now... but I will def have to save up to grab a goldbug for when I do get to finally go down south or to Auz for a Gold trip.

If the ship is similar to the Mayflower in style, the fore and main mast both with a mainsail and another one above it both square sails and the mizzen mast with a rectangular sail sort of side on and a square sail on the bowsprit, a square flag on the mizzen and foremast and a long triangular one on the main mast and the words half penny above the ship and date below and on the obverse side GEORGIVS VI. D:G:BR:OMN:REX F:D:IND:IMP then it is British.
Also under the head and behind the stern I think it will have HP in tiny letters
