Nice crown there Poohbear. Im fairly sure that a nz 1935 threepence and 1935 sixpence are worth a fair bit.

From a website I found

A New Zealand 1935 50% silver Sixpence (George V), uncirculated and in absolute mint condition could fetch up to $600 NZD. If it has been circulated but still in good condition, it might fetch anything from $6 to $160 NZD.

There were 560,000 minted.

Huh, the one I found has some greenish crust on it, but has no noticeable wear.

Yip, just rumaging through mine too. I got those/these prices off trademe and such. We spent 3 hours writing stuff down. Was interesting. Most of my coins are salt victims... Some of the silvers are ok.

1946 sixpence $28
1943 florin $18
1941 shilling $45
1933 sixpence $33
1939 threepence $4

34 shilling
43 threepence
47 penny
61 penny
52 shilling
48 shilling
are all worth $1
P.S. Dont quote me on these figures...

Anything with numismatic value, I sell and use the money to buy bullion coins. The coin program I've been in for over 2 years - http://silver-dollars.com - used to supply 1 ounce Liberty's until the entry price went too high, then they went to generic 1/2 ounce, but are now minting their own design - a 1/2 ounce .999 silver coin that has creases built in so you can easily break the coin in 1/4 ounce halves or 1/8 ounce quarters to "make change". Getting ready for the next currency collapse/depression.

Divisible silver

Just checked - I've got a 1933 sixpence I pulled out of the ground recently - still has all the dirt on it. Need to wash it and put it on trademe :)

Just found that I had a 1940 sixpence too. I have been cautiously cleaning a few coins that had a real bad crusts or stains on them using Tonz link: http://www.anythinganywhere.com/info/clean.htm. Seems to be working pretty well in some cases. Can't tell they had the crust or that they have been cleaned.

I pay US$39 for my one coin including surface post to NZ, but I have other people signed up under me so I get (at present) 6 coins in the mail every month for that price. No complaints :)
