Well I finally got my F2 with the 11" DD coil... and after tinkering with it for 2 hours I finally started finding some stuff... I found 2 coins and they were both Israeli coins! a 1 cent and a 10 cent in the same spot on the beach. I hope that there will be many more to come (coins not Israeli... unless it is a gold or silver Israeli coin ;) ). I also realized that I cannot notch out iron as most of our current coins are around 7-10 in the scale on my F2 usually a 9. so I have found a lot of rusted and crusted iron too... I will put a pic on later this afternoon to show you my first F2 finds :)

Well took out two young prospectors to be to try their hand at metal detecting. Didn't find much as the one got bored and kept trying to detect my finds which kept giving me false signals. But the older one was real keen! I am starting to get the hang of this f2 and even managed to find the tip of a syringe! I was wondering why I couldn't see it... lol! The f2 is a really nice detector! Next will be to save up for a pinpointer. Well here is a pic of my finds including two cool skeleton keys.

Cheers for that Chris! I really hope so... well I sold that gold ring of mine and bought the missus a new washer machine with it... needless to say she is pretty keen for me to keep detecting! A wise man once said that a happy wife makes for a lucky man!

I found a bangle with Sanskrit on it and it looks like it could be gold or silver but I can't tell... will have to go to the good old gold buyers to have them see what it is made of... it looks brand new! also found some poor kids wallet! I was going to hand it over to the police but I decided to find him on facebook and good thing I did cause as I was putting it on the shelf a little baggy with some "stuff" fell out! I facebooked the kid and he will pick it up tomorrow lucky for him... LOL!

I like fact that you didnt take it to the Gestapo and see fit to return it to the kid directly - good on you, you are doing the right thing in my opinion.

Yay! Yeah the divisible coins are pretty cool. I don't think the websites are editable unfortunately. Me being a social outcast, I don't have many friends to sign up under me but I'm sure a party animal like yourself can find plenty of people keen for silver. Just flash that silver coin around a bit and hand them your website address :)
