Here are my recent most finds:

Trip 1: Sep 21 2011

I went back to the spot where I found all the coins and found a nickle plated steel pendent, a .925 silver ring with 3 blue stones and 2 white stones, 1 Fijian dollar, 1 NZ dollar, a 1 cent piece and a 2 cent piece. I did not have as much time as I did the day before, just an hour lunch break. here are the pics.

I decided to have a look under my cloths line as someone suggested and sure enough I did find some coins and a big as steel bar!!! I left that in the ground as I had no clue what it could be. better safe than sorry.

And here are the finds from today's lunch break. I found another silver coin (3 pence) and a skull and bones which looks like it was part of a zipper.

Well I took another 45 minutes and continued in the same area that I have been detecting and I found some interesting finds. No silver. I decided to check in this tree as there was some dirt in it and I found some melted metal. I think that it is lead. I will try to melt it and see what happens. I also found a brass maori head with "kia ora" inscribed on it. It looks similar to a 1937 door knocker but I don't know. I also found $3.10 in current coins in one hole! it was like christmas. I pulled a one dollar coin out and still got a signal then I pulled out a ten cent and still got a signal and then pulled out a two dollar coin! That just goes to show that you ALWAYS have to do that second and some times third check on a spot cause you never know. lol

I always double check a dig. Amazing wot you find sometimes, 3 targets in one kind of thing. Once we dug up 3 coins and some beer lids in one spot. Ding ding again.. oh not diggin another lid i said, went to walk away, ok then just one more, turned around, dug it up, WOOOO, A big solid mens wedding ring. Yeha. Ya just dont know. Patience is the one i guess, determination and beer..

Well I went out for a night detect at my local beach just to see whats there. I spent about 2 hours, and man it was tough doing it at night! But I did manage to get quite a few coins :) even an Ausi coin. I must have dug one massive hole next to this one tree trying to figure out what was giving off this massive signal and then I pulled out a iron crowbar!? It looked like a root, and because I was wearing gloves I couldn't tell :).

Here's the pic.

hahaha @ crowbar. I can sooo relate to that. Sometimes the target is right there but you cant find it. I hate that!
