Hunting with the Garrett ATX!

Well my Atx finally arrived from the USA. Man that was a l.o.n.g wait!

Need to get used to a PI machine as I am now really cleaning the beach! How is 1/2 a tiny fish hook...3 scoops deep! Argh! Shall I go back to to the ctx3030 or keep digging....? Nah....keep digging. Bent the scoop!

Finally in the rain yesterday. Neck deep at Tindalls Bay....10th gold ring since January.

10 - 9 Max!

Hey DMNZ could you please try the ATX on a west coast beach sometime and report how it works? Am very interested in how it handles the black sand as if it does OK then I might just be able to get back into beach hunting again! :)

Another hunt...another GOLD....

Darn it not a ring so it does not count. 18k owl necklace. Neck deep in water!

2 florins strange both 1964 at different ends of the beach. ...2 shillings.... see the old 50 cent piece to get an idea of the size of the gold owl!

Low tide was at 8pm last night so went for a 45 minute hunt. Chose to concentrate on deep repeatable signals and 3rd target was a 9ct mens ring. Easy 3 full scoops deep ( and then some). Must have been my lucky week!

That's awesome great week! what's your secret?? I have been out every low tide since Thursday and got nothing...maybe $10 and a junk necklace. most the time I don't get any signals. today I got a hook in 2 hours:( 1 beep...
I don't like to get wet but I mite have to... getting sick of no beeps but the things I do get are mostly deep 10+ and the Whites dual field pi runs nice and smooth finding bobby pins 6inches easy.
