Latest decent finds. ..Both in the water or wet sand.

9ct horseshoe ring....about 2 scoops deep

18ct really nice mens band....In the water last night.

18ct was an old drop..pretty deep just a "peep" of a signal....2nd target in the water which is good as pretty darn cold!

Quick hunt after work Sunday. 2 hours at a local beach. Whilst a very nice day - with little wind there was an onshore swell and the water was murky with clay!

Many parts of the beach the sand was stripped away exposing the slippery clay base.

Spent a few hours knowing there must be a ring somewhere. ....

1st target = 18ct female band, a decent size. Stuck firmly in the clay base

2nd target = huge very old silver ring, engraved in Latin (translated as) "fortune favours the bold"....I will remember that when the next Beach hunt is a slow one! Quite fitting!

3rd target: gold plated ring plating worn 99.5% away. Argh....

4th target = gold ring. ..smaller....9ct. Again less than 1 scoop deep in the clay!

4 rings....2 gold....1 silver....1 junk. And a cool motto!

mixture of three - CTX 3030 (now in Aussie being repaired by Minelab), Garrett ATX and now...your Dual Field. The Platinum is still one of the better ones....Max is catching up (hot on my heals) so no rest!

2 more gold rings today! Had a afternoon hunt with kyle....Whilst he was super keen in the water....I stuck with the wet sand.....

Aside a bunch of old coins....The best finds....

9ct Gold (heart shaped ring). A very old drop really deep and damaged by my scoop. Will go in the scrap gold pile..

2nd ring is actually really nice and the photo does not do it justice....A bunch of tiny diamonds....

Bloody cold in the water today. I need a thicker wetsuit. Another silver ring...about 6 divers weights and......

Is this my oldest ring yet? Received a faint signal under a large rock....shifted the rock and yes the signal was clear!

22ct! Gold! Hallmarked as Birmingham. UK. 22ct. The date mark looks like 1853! I have checked and re - checked. ...

Your thoughts?

Hard put day detecting on my day off this week! First few beaches really tough and no luck....

Last beach,

1x thick silver ring
2x copper / junk rings

And.....

3 more gold! One very large man's band (9ct). Small ornate and old female gold ring. And a 14ct female ring with 3 tiny diamonds.....

Persistence pays off! Went to a beach I thought was all over last night in the dark with a torch! Hunting at night...less interruptions!

1x 18ct gold MIZPAH ring.....

1x 9ct Gold. Probably need to test this. The hallmarks are a little rough. It id's as gold on the ctx

1x plated gold.

Very few and far between targets...but it goes to show the beach is SO big...and the coil is SO small. Don't give up!

Your certainly getting results for your efforts Dale.
Was this from the sand or in the water?

Well done.

Sand....but unusually 2 of the rings half way up the beach. 1 in a few inches of water at low tide.

TODAY IS.......DOUBLE PLATINUM DAY!

Went to a local beach between 12 and 2 30pm today and jumped in the water...bloody cold but fantastic weather and better than being at work for a few hours!

First ring of the day is a man sized....18ct gold and Platinum ring....really nice. Second ring
...another platinum the biggest one yet. I really need to get some scales! Was an old drop ring was beaten up a bit...nothing the dremel won't fix however!

Several coins (old 20c and old 50c) and another silver ring!

Overall all a great day. Next time is your turn kyle.....Promise.
