It's been a couple of weeks since I last put coil to soil but finally managed a roadie on Saturday with Erickd. A bit rusty on it, but did score a couple of sweet finds including a 1918 shilling and a .577 snider bullet from the late 1800's........ and a hoard......a pull tab hoard from the late 1970's. Six tabs in one hole, all nicely linked together.... just awesome!
Had a bit more luck with a late Sunday afternoon hunt. This turned up a nice little gold 9ct brooch, a silver hallmarked St Andrews College old boys association badge, a few cool old musket balls and a silver (?) badge from some museum in Amsterdam. Not a bad haul from the lil "hunted out spot ".

Great to finally get out and about again.

GL & HH to all.

Out for a couple of hunts this weekend with Erickd...cheers man.
It definitely seems to be his year so far....check his page for the awesome ring he scored today.....and he's killin it with silver count.

My best finds from the weekend include a cool 1950 Italian Catholic medallion, an 1872 threepence that appears to have been used either on a charm bracelet or as a pendant....and a rare 1936 florin...only 150,000 minted. Another year to add to the collection!
GL & HH to all.

A very hot Saturday hunt with Erickd and Snowdrop....thanks guys, very enjoyable.

Ended the day on eight silvers...managed one of each silver denomination in the mix....the full set as it were.
The find of the day for me tho and also a bucket list tick, was this very nice 1944 Australian florin....very happy to be able to add this to the collection.

GL & HH to all.

Nice one Number8, i havnt found a silver in yonks. Might have better luck this week when meeting up with the guys from the UK. Take them to an old time spot that usually has a silver or two, or use too.

Sounds like fun. Good luck with that. It's all out there just waiting for your coil Creamer. You WILL get silver (at the very least)...if not gold. I feels it in me bones!

Another Saturday roadie with Erickd and Chrispy......thanks guys.
Ended the day on eleven silvers and one very cool "New Zealand Corps of Signals" cap badge from WW2 In excellent condition, still with it's back clip in place.
Also, plenty of pennies and other assorted bits to keep the day interesting however, the soil conditions are brutally harsh on silver, brass and copper, as can be seen in the pics.

GL & HH to all.
