Off to a good start with a mount of some kind with a big glass crystal-cut stone as it's centerpiece. Any idea's what it is/was? I have no clue! Ended up with two NZ sixpence, a few pennies, bullets, musket balls and spendies. Foiled again had a top day so hopefully he will post a few of his cool finds. Don't see those round here much as they would've only come from a military browning machine gun. Very very cool!!!

I knew it was quite different from the usual bullets and casings I have found but great to have it identified to a specific gun.

Joined Foiled again and coinnut this arvo at a well hunted, some would even say "hunted out " location. Hard going but still managed to get one small silver, seven musket balls, a few buttons, a cool little lion badge (silver plated) and a 9ct signet ring. Unfortunately the ring is broken and the hallmarks unreadable but still stoked with a nice wee piece of GOLD! Went there for a couple of hours today and.....yep, another GOLD ring! It's a 9ct signet and she's a beauty. Also dug a neat old .925 brooch, a cool two ringer lead bullet and a 1903 Brit shilling. That's the fourth GOLD ring in around six weeks.......and all from the "hunted out " spot. Get out there and get into it.....it's all there just waiting to be found. number8wire attached the following image(s):
