Ok, my mind has been officially blown!

Today, I decided to go back to the spot where I found the diamond and sapphire ring on Wednesday night. Being a night hunt, I thought to myself that I probably hadn't covered the area as well as I could have if it had been light. So, back to the same old tree and started working around it again but this time, in daylight and in a more methodical way. After about 10 minutes and a couple of pull tabs, I got this sweet and very solid 76 at 7". ...........And as they say.....the rest is history!
Under this old tree must have been quite the make out spot back in the day....well, that's my best guess.
The ring is 15ct, assayed by the Birmingham office and date lettered for 1894.
Just stunned and unbelievably stoked with yet another amazing find in a so called "hunted out" spot.
GL & HH to all.

Good on ya jimmy B. I've had so much inspiration myself from all the good folks on this forum in the past, and it's really rewarding to be able to give a little back. People like tonznz, roy1954, foiled again, coinnut and drunkbrother have been my inspiration and motivation to get out there and put the hours in, since I started detecting about two years ago.
Go hard mate.......tomorrow's your day!!

Short night hunt on my way South tonight. Found a small but obviously old park that produced a few cool finds in the half hour or so I was there.
A sterling silver naval aviation badge ( probably Australian) from WW2, unfortunately damaged., an 1875 Heaton mint penny in pretty good nic and a mower-chewed piece of silver and possibly greenstone??.....not sure what it is....or was but a cool find none the less.
GL & HH all.

Lol...too late Chris. I found that amazing signal under the big root. It was an old jar crammed with sovereigns.
By the way....this post is coming to you all the way from the spa deck on my new luxury launch sailing the crystal clear waters off the Bahamas....:)

Hi all,
Just a real quick post of the silvers I dug on my Dunedin hunt with Iggy. Had a great time and really enjoyed Iggy's enthusiasm and passion for getting out and hunting it down!
Can't wait for the next hunt mate!

GL & HH to all.

Another hunt, yet ANOTHER ring...925 silver this time. Not sure what's up with the ring thing at the moment......still, certainly not complaining!
Also, two brit threepence, a brooch, a tiki ( base metal), a Victorian silver letter N, a nice old perfume bottle with lid and an 1875 half penny in really good nic.
GL & HH all.
