Well done man! That is awesome!

I think it's time Tony hung up his detector he doesn't need it anymore anyways - he can just sniff cool stuff and locations out!
Nah he's a good bloke, shame he doesn't use the site much anymore.

LOL........got it valued today by an independent jeweler. Scrap valve would probably equal your icecream tub of 1's and 2's in monetary terms.... but you may need to add a GOLD sovereign or three from your stash, to match the antique $$$$ value I was given!
Nah.......It's so cool, I just won't be selling it. If anything, I think the wife is looking to snavvel it!

Well that sounds about right; to value jewellery I look at it and figure what I would be willing to pay, then multiply it by 10 and it is usually pretty close. So by my estimation it would be $1200-$1500.

Going to try uploading the vid again. Apologies if it doesn't work.

Sorry....it's a no go but look up "metal detecting Dunedin NZ" on YouTube. Hopefully you'll see it there.

Cheers mate. Hearing it now, it seems like a real geeky commentary but for the pleasure and adrenaline rush it gave me at the time, I figure it was worth sharing anyway.

Well, finally my Teknetics T2 se arrived on Friday,
so after a few air tests and a couple of sweeps around the back yard, it was time to give it a go down at Hagley this morning. Spent most of the morning playing with the settings, so the results were pretty minimal. Just a few pennies and kiwi clad. Did however score this beaut little .925 silver ring with a small stone....glass or Diamante.?...not sure.
Very impressed with the depth that that the T2 can obtain....especially when the boost processor is activated.
Happy hunting all.

Yep...that's one of the primary reasons I've stayed with Teknetics for my upgrade. All the finds you see on my thread, have been using my previous machine...the delta 4000. For what I want from the available technology out there, the Teknetics range ticks all the boxes perfectly...including value for dollar spend. I did however spend a considerable amount of time looking into other brands and models but the T2 se came out on top for what I personally want ....a reliable and successful coin shooting and relic hunting machine.

I'm sure the E-trac would be an outstanding machine. Unfortunately, it didn't factor into my search due to budget restraint. However, if it had I would have been tempted. I watched a Youtube vid reciently that featured an E-trac up against several different machines including a Teknetics T2 se. The results let's just say, were very interesting and a little surprising to say the least. Tests were done both inground and air. Lets also just say that the E-trac probably came a close second. Value for money spent?........the T2 shines through (for what I personally want from a machine) in my humble opinion.
Can't remember the link off-hand but it was one I found when looking up T2 se tests.
At the end of the day, it's all about knowing what you want/expect to get out of a machine and doing heaps of research. Read a few manuals, read the reviews, talk to people with the machines that may interest you (I did with Tonznz, as he has a T2 se) and watch as many related comparison test videos as you can, both bias and non-bias towards the machine you are looking at. Research, research, research.
