Sure was great to catch up with the lads, and to get out for a hunt after the meeting on Sunday. Some excellent results boys.
Here's my little treasure trove from the night. Not flash but great to be out doing the biz with some like-minded mates, and enjoying the thrill of the chase.

It was great to make the effort and get out on a cold, clear night hunt last night. Joined foiled again and coinnut for another assault on Sth Hagley. Was also good to see oroplata again (very briefly), trying out his newly acquired F75.
Here's some pics of my finds for the evening. The pewter button was a cool little find. I thought it showed Canterbury coat of arms but after a wee bit of research, it's actually the NZ coat of arms. If anybody knows what uniform uses these buttons, I'd be keen to know. It wasn't very deep (only a couple of inches) so I think it's fairly modern.

I believe it could have been on the Prime ministers jacket from 1922 and there was a drunken tussell with an opposition leader. Or not. It cannot be confirmed. Lol.
Great finds dude! Love the concentration and focus during the ol night mish. Looking forward to the next one. Gold coins a coming!!

Hunted at a small rural park on the way home from down South today. Scored some sweeet finds amongst the bullet cases, pull tabs and trash.
Got my oldest silver to date (although in terrible condition) being a George IV Shilling. Can't see the date but has to be between 1821 & 1829, so freekin stoked.
Also dug my oldest Brit half crown today. It's a 1890 Vic Jubilee Head Half Crown.....completely ungakked too!
Well chuffed with today's additions to the collection!

Happy hunting all.

Got a two hour hunt in this arvo at my local park, before the rain hit.

Best scores were;

A .999 fine silver necklace bar.
Silver pocket watch case back with what I'm sure must be a bullet hole clean through it.
Two threepence and a cut shilling.
A cool old 1930's deco enamel earring....
........and an old badge showing a globe of the Earth with "Africa, Europe, Asia" and below, a laurel wreath. Maybe a peace badge of some kind?

Happy hunting all.

***badge update*** Royal Marines WW2........
Apparently a two piece badge, with Lion and Crown seperate from Globe and Laurel.

Hi Guardian. Yea I went to Sydenham park once and got myself a few old coins and also my favourite silver ring from there! I was with Hunter and he scored an old gothic florin. It was the site of the first A & P shows in like the 1860's!
I heard a few guys were there one day and got told to move on so I havnt been again...
I did also do a wander around the site of that school but everything there is demolished and was concrete mainly so no good for detecting unfortunately

I was curious about there as well, might want to be cautious GS
