Hi all. I am looking forward to the November weekend in Lawrence. Thanks to Pete for organising such an interesting looking weekend. I am flying into Dunedin on Friday 2nd, arriving at 9.10 am and leaving Sunday evening. I am keen to share a rental car with someone else who will be looking for transport. Bazza

Hi Bassa
Don't bother hiring a rental car as I would be willing to collect you from the airport if no one else can pick you up on the way through.
It will be costing you enough in air fares and then having to get a rental car on top of that. Wow!
Wait till a bit closer to the time and then we can organise something then. If there is anyone else needing a lift, let me know and we will see what can be arranged

I may well be going up myself, and being from Dunedin, I'm sure something can be arranged. Just give us a yodel closer to time.
P.S. Just lost a contract recently so may well have more time to hand to go and play! lol.

Cheers,
Rick.

I am sure you will all have a great time. I had hoped to make it down but have just signed the papers on a new business which is going to take a month or two to get things in place to be able to leave.
Looking forward to hearing the tales.

Hi Murray, a 4wd wouldn't be required and it might pay to give the Lawrence Camping Ground a call 03 4859850 to see if there are any cabins left before towing the caravan all the way down. What size dredge is it, as a 6 inch may be bit of an over kill on a couple of the streams.

Will depend on the timing as to whether I could make it, new to this forum, and would like to meet u all, but will probably be mining my claim unless the get together happens late October early November.

thanks for camping ground phone number cluthapete, as of today they have four cabins left at $20 per person, not sure how many bunks or beds per cabin ,
any indication of how many members are heading down for the weekend?
could be another canvas town , oh and that reminds me , if the poacher who's dredging my claim is reading this , it would be a good time to cease operations and no more to be said about the matter, unless member would like to give me their veiws on such a subject

You can get a bettery opperated digital camera with a motion detector fairly inexpensively. Set it up in a discret location and you will know exactly who is dredging your claim.

DOC has some by the way that they use to nap people doing things they are not supposed to.

Losing it? I have never actually had it. I nearly had to repeat third grade because I couldn’t spell and have made very little improvement since then. Spell check is the greatest invention since the bikini... of course you actually have to use it...
