But got the job done with 2 bits silver jewellery and good coins. What I was hoping to be a big ol silver ended up being a HJ Hall token.Was deep! Also found a cuff size button-maybe merchant navy or us marines or summink? Shoulda gone out again tonight-its a bloody good night and forecast rain for tomorrow nooooooo! I feel a GOLD coin a coming my way soon so keen on giving a real good shot at the mo! The first hour was terrible and I was thinkin this is the night im not even goin to find a pre decimal! But thankfully a piece of GOLD turned up in the form of a lovely 5g locket. Its stamped but I cant make out what it is. Probably 9ct though woop. The turned up three silvers incl a 1891 threepence. Damn good night in the end! Oh yeah. The old girl is still full of treasure no matter what anyone says..........it's just becoming more of a challenge to find it! I had three hours out there last Sunday morning but the whole three were like your first hour last night........ended up with one 1946 shilling and two junk rings....that's it, nothing else but rubbish. When your hot, your hot.........when your not, it sucks big time.........but there's always tomorrow!

I'm out of action till August, having sold my machine, bought an upgrade, and had it sent to an address in UK, where I will be joining it in a couple of weeks in readiness for some serious hunting on Roman and Saxon fields. Upon my return, either empty handed or otherwise, I'll be making up for time lost on good ol Hagley so leave me some stuff to find folks.
		My greatest fear is that when I die my wife will sell my collection for what I told her it cost me.

Cant wait to hear the stories and see some mind blowing old silver and GOLD stuff-no pressure!! And yeah nah , sorry there wont be anything left time ya get back hoho! Had a great winters night hunt with coinnut and number8wire. Best stuff for me was a (dont think its silver?) NZRFU fern badge, a silver catholic badge with Virgin Mary and Saint Marcellus something and three really nice silver coins. Great night but hard work! Foiled again attached the following image(s):
