A really nice brooch and if I found it then I think it would surely go into the real treasure container with the other good stuff, proper silver and gold rings etc - its a cracker.

I know! I was jumping up and down like a nut! I am sure those who saw a man jumping around with a shovel in his hands and a head lamp on his head in a graveyard might call the local madhouse... lol

Trip # 22

I am just going to post about all the good finds this time as I have already put the other coins away... lol. So I went to another beach and WOW it was a detecting dream! after high tide the beach was nolonger sand but was rock and clay! I practically just pickup most of the coins but my time ran out so here is hoping that the beach will be the same tomorrow!

I found 2 1953 sixpences, 2 old 10 cent pieces, 2 20 cent pieces, 3 5 cent pieces, 1 2 cent pieces, and 2 1 cent pieces.

And now for the interesting finds. 1 1936 sixpence a NZ Expeditionary forces badge! and a rock that gives off a signal... it is a small little bugger too... maybe an asteroid? I hit it with a hammer and it did smush a bit revealing really shinny silvery metal almost like glass.

here are the pics:

Very possible Gnut.. The thrill of a good find tho.
I have found the ground buzzing hard out too. Powerlines, and also wet grassy type ground i suspect. And or the ground is choca block with metal. At this last old spot there was junk gallore. Makes it quite difficult to make a find as you dont want to dig the ground to pieces.

thanks for that Dan, Yeah I have never seen a farthing before and I was quite surprised to find it just sitting 1/2 an inch down! i thought that it might be a 10 cent! and that broach is a thing of beauty! I had a guy look at it and it is definitely a C & N broach! now to see if I can get it valued. What area you from? I'm in Auckland and I don't hear see anyone else around but I do hear from the on lookers that there are people to hit my area's quite hard.. :( might be why I don't find much sometimes...(could also be why I found the farthing sitting on top of the sand ;) )

Hope to see more of your finds.

I found that 18k white gold ring a while back which allowed me to buy my f2.. I have a picture of it on my blog that I just started on the gold finds page. It was a beauty and it sold for higher than it's gold value!

Hey Man,
Congrats on the ring ! let us know how much you will get for the gold on it and if anything for the stones.

i am waiting for mine mean time :D

I have completed Silver set of :
Ring+Braslet+Pendant+Ear ring + Coin

Now i will be into Gold :D

I am mastering my Gold Bug now in terms of signal, sensitivity, pinpointing.

Like now if i want to go just coin shooting- i dig only 78-80 that is where 78-79 1$ and 79-80 2$
Silver Shilling was 79, so that is why i stopped coin hunting and start digging all targets at that place where i was :D i might go back there, so would not post coordinates yet :P

Well I took the ring to the goldbuyers and they said it wasn't gold! but it is so I sanded it down and I will take it back later. I have some new pics of it on my blog and here is one of them.
