Congrats mate on your first GOLD ring. Such a great feeling.....you'll be buzzing on it for hours. The paua shell inlaid silver ring is very cool too.

hey number8 I don't know if it is silver there are no marks inside the band but it came out of the hole clean with no corrosion or anything.. How would I tell if its silver or not.

Also went out today and found some more notworthmentioning coins, a .925 silver cross from a necklace (that I put in my bag and just CANNOT find now I'm home and also this 1917 british halfcrown, in really good condition. It was only about 6 inches down and read a solid 46 on the x-terra 705.

WOW nice find!!! I have yet to find one of these... I have a few NZ half crowns but you've gotta love that stg colour :D... i hate it when you lose a good find... I lost a NZ silver 3d and a silver 6d at different times... :(
