Mark,

Cool ring,
However, i would like to address an issue with the dry grass.
Ground is very dry at the moment. Cracks are all around. It would be very wise to refrain from digging in parks.
Especially at sport fields - where we can see the white line just meters away from the hole

Where I was digging there was holes everywhere from the big day out a week or so ago, also the sports ground is fenced off for another concert this weekend, wasn't making any change to how the field already looked.

Ok so out for a hunt today, walking along having a nice daydrem just listening to the tones then hear the distinct spendables tone.. look down and surface spill of $4 .. good start :)

Surface finds

Also manage two silver shillings

Shillings

And lately i've been doing a 3 week spendable coin comp which ends this Sunday, I haven't been able to hunt much lately due to house moving etc (almost a week!) but the $38 I found today helped so new current spendable total for last 2 weeks is $207 :)

$207 spendies

Hey max it's a comp on the swinging nz facebook group.

Also this is <15 hours of park hunting but actually more like <25hours if you include y beach hunts (but the beach hunts maybe only contributed to like $10 of the total)

Just a rinse in water then bag them into $1 and $2 bags and take them to the bank. They weigh them and deposit cash into my account.

That sounds a bit boring, my way is much more fun! On a serious note thanks for the tip, I have just assumed the bank would have a fit if you turned up with them all stained, I hav'nt cashed any in yet, will probably wait until the year is out.

Thanks Iggy

Well iggy it was a bit of trial and error, at first I broke asb banks coin counter machine pouring them all in, even the rusty beach ones.. it didn't just reject them it jammed the whole machine haha.. I think I poured in like $170 worth and when the grumpy asian lady fixed it, cleared the machine and gave me my coins back I had like $190. stoked!

Now I put the 10's 20's and 50's in the train ticket machine if I'm going somewhere and save the gold ones for the bank, just tell them you want to cash in damaged coins and you've sorted them, they put them in their own bags and weigh them up then put the cash into your account.. it's really no problem at all.

That was a good job made 20 bucks and shagged the machine, nice!
