Managed a bucket-lister in the form of a New Zealand Rifles shoulder title....my first complete shoulder title. Also scored two thimbles....one pretty much undamaged in brass, the other squashed aluminum alloy but with a company name and address on it. Cooke and Son was a Chemist located at 193 High St, Christchurch during the late 1800's/ early 1900's. Also scored a cool old pocket watch face with the makers initials and a number engraved on the back......oh....and four small silvers. GL & HH. number8wire attached the following image(s):

Scored a nice old 1901 HMS Ophir medalette. This was issued to celebrate the winning of the Boer War and the ensuing visit to New Zealand of the Duke and Dutchess of Cornwall and York, aboard the HMS Ophir. Also scored a T W Ratana badge and seven silvers including a nice 1889 Jubilee head threepence. GL & HH. number8wire attached the following image(s):

Scored the awesome Italy Star last night in the rain around midnight....super stoked with that one! Also hit a patch of fired Enfield bullets....again, stoked! They say things come in three's......here's a quick story to back that up. Last week, I was pleased to score a cool HMS Ophir medalette whilst hunting in Hagley (see post before Aussie button). Had been a while since I had found any type of medalette, so was stoked. Last weekend while hunting an old field, I dug another medalette.... Ophir again. Couldn't believe the second medalette was also Ophir. Then about 20 minutes later.....you guessed it.....my third Ophir medalette....that made it three in two hunts!....stranger than fiction....
