Well i also had a nice day.spent 4 hours 4x4 driveing with my 8 year old son..took him on a picnic up the selwyn river....then after droping him off home in geraldine i met up with Good to Go in ashburton..

Now i oviously didnt have as good a day as Jason...but my silver ring finding drought is over...lmao...

I only ended up with 15 and 1/3 coins today and a silver ring from Siam....

It was great to meet another new detectorist....we were only out for about 2 hours but enjoyable...

Well done there Chris, finding a halfcrown and florin on the same hunt is something I'm still to do. That would certainly make me a happy man if I did.

A certain Rangiora hunter who will remain nameless but uses a minelab and goes by the name of NZdigger managed to do that same thing in front of my very eyes only last weekend.

My greatest fear is that when I die my wife will sell my collection for what I told her it cost me.

Yeah. Last couple of days have been pretty shitty. Cold AND wet.

Rains' supposed to stop tonight, then sunny at the weekend but still coldish.

Itching to get out there. I wonder if a certain detectorist will invite us to his secret location?

" Nearly 2 million people visited"

Now I understand why Hagley has so many coins to be found.
