Hey Tony, Fantastic couple of finds there mate. The 1902 Coronation Badge...........on the surface under leaves!...at a park!.....for real? How bizzare is that!!!
Gotta love that lock also...........very cool. Any idea yet of it's exact age?
I'm really starting to think that I need to organise a pilgrimage to Dunedin one weekend, to meet you for a hunt............maybe do a boys weekend away with Roy and some of the other guys from Chch.........would you be up for that?

thats a cool badge, looks old. nice. i only use ammonia on my silvers and it does great. takes off all stains but dosnt leave the coin too shiny.
they still have that old look. if you want to shine them up then giv them a little rub with a baking soda and water paste mix. just dont rub them for to long.

Gaaaa. Pseudo-random destruction of history. Very sad. The manager at Plunket that came up with that idea should be publicly flogged at a genealogist convention.

Ok....I'll have a chat to the guys at the Sunday night meeting to gauge interest in a trip. Maybe the first (1st/2nd) or second (8th/9th) weekend in December? I'll let you know what the general consensus is early next week.

If it wasn't for christmas and having no money I'd do the same. I have found three charles horner pieces now, and it would be nice to have this book.
