Funny about all those 1c n 2c...I'm thinking with all mine (i keep them all) ill bury little stashes here n there then in the future wel get posts like "man had a huge pocketspill of like 20 2c pieces-how did that end up there?" lol

Hey Jason, you know that if you collect a decent weight (ie..a few kg's) in old decimals, you can cash them an at your local scrap merchant for a few bucks? I've kept all mine too and plan to take em to the scrappy once I fill the 10 litre paint tin.........still got a bit of room to go yet tho!

But make sure you only do that with the 1c & 2c!

I took 5.5kg of old decimal silvers in my carry-on last time I flew to Wellington and dropped them into the reserve bank. A week later they credited my bank account with the full face value. Sweet!
