It's got a serial number on it. That could be significant!

I got wee way to go before I catch that haul!
It looks like you are going fairly deep for your finds - I think I am only getting the larger kids toys at the depth.

Methinks you need to do some research on the lead soldiers as they look like early ones - probably World War One - I am wondering if they are Barclay ones? If so I would be out looking for more - in good order they go for around $12 US as they are popular with collectors. I have found a few myself over the years but sadly all those I have found seem to have suffered War wounds in the form of amputations.

Great finds - I like them.

Yep I like the soldiers as well. Those machine gunners must be around in abundance cos I've got one too. Still has a bit of the original paint on

Your walking cane top could also be a fire poker handle I think.
Good finds.

The thing is being unsuccessful doesn't ever put me off. I still enjoy being out. In the cold, wet and muddy. Tonight had a close look at a huge octopus in the shallows and poked it with my detector thinking it was dead. It wasn't and wrapped an arm or two around My detector and stared at me with its evil eyes. Wish I had my camera! damn! Would have been a classic shot. Sold some metal detecting scrap today for $32 and also worked on a display box for lead toys and a brass mechano piece; all found at the bay at Portobello (Latham Bay). I have been cutting out the shapes into some dense foam rubber obtained from Pararubber. Expensive stuff but I haven't used much of it and I have been cutting it down the middle to spin it out. This time since the lead toys were dark I spray painted the rubber silver.

Good stuff Tonz. Allways take the camera. I would never forgive myself if i missed a good shot.

Very organized of you .. and a good idea.
Not sure I'd advertise exactly where the treasures are though!
