Here are my favourite finds of the weekend....
1908 florin that's been on my list since I sore #8s ones I think it was.
and this really cool love token with RS scribed into the back.1898

ps the 1885 sixpence in the top photos is the GBPs first silver.. great condition:)

WOOOAH......yet another freekish case of "putting it out there".
I put pics up on my page of the standing Britannia's I had found. JimmyB commented that he would love to find one, one day and he'd add it to his bucket list. I suggested (posts 419 and 420 on my blog) that his old race course must have one hidden away with his name on it....and.....not sure if it was from the race course?...but......JUST FREEKY!!

That love token is one very cool find mate...well done.

thanks heaps #8 for the inspiration. I had never seen one of them until you posted it.. sure is weird how the world works sometimes:) that gold sovereign were spoke of must be on its way!
It wasn't till I got home and washed it then OH yer tick it off:) also the 3d.. didn't even see the loop on the top till I washed it..

Just the 1885 sixpence from the racecourse using the goldbugpro.. very very hard to find a signal there that isn't iron..2 or 3 signal in 3 hours.
Most of the silver is from a new site full of sovereigns I bet:):)

BTW..the florin came up a perfect 91 on the Atpro at about 6inches. 3d very faint high tone at 8inches!.I haven't used too many detectors but the Atpro nails the silver at good depth, simple to use and is great in iron infested sites.. I couldn't wish for more:)

Thanks guys ...#8 I don't think its silver just something different.
Just got back from another hunt and yet more silver:)
This has got to be the best silver ring I have ever found.. It was crushed flat and broken.. marked 925with some kind of stone.Very sexy
the little buckle is a pin/broach also silver and a few more coins.

just got a Minelab E-trac! first 2 hunts and I am getting the hang of it. I know what 07:47 is now...big silver half crown;) had an amazing hunt got 11 silvers including half crown ,florin and big CTR 925 ring.
Feel like im cheating with the E-trac lol ...nice clear sounds and yes it loves silver.
I went to the racecourse for 4 hours and not 1 signal:( At pro got it all but missed a bit in the parks.
thank you Minelab:)
O and my first ozzy shilling 1950

Well done Jimmy.
Thanks for the numbers on the HC.
My tip for the racecourse would be to open
the screen right up using quick mask and slow the swing speed right down.
Might be surprised what pops up.
Just a thought.

yer I don't know any numbers yet so just digging everything to see:) but yer 07:47 HC.
I did that exact thing at the racecourse ...open screen quick mask...I was just going on the first 2 numbers and nothing came in under 30. but I did find 2 really small bits of lead that had good numbers..I have honestly raped that place
I have only learnt the E-trac from youtube videos and haven't read the owner manual yet. I don't like to read lol

BTW I made a sovereign programme and found out UK half's and ozzy half's are different numbers? did anyone know that

Crickey Jim that's impressive.

Are those silvers from new ground or revisits with your new toy?
