Just a short morning hunt after a coinless Saturday.
I was using my new 15inch NEL coil on my AT pro.. deepest was 12inch (pro pointer + 3")
Yesterday I did 6 hours at the sovereign field that I have hit hard with the standard coil and got nothing:( o a button.
All and all the NEL coil is heavy (1.5kg) covers more ground and gives clearer signals on deeper targets but the standard coil will get those targets too just not as clear. Not a great investment.
Happy with the half crown haven't got a NZ 1 in ages.

Funny story about the watch.
I went round to my Mums today and she gave me 2 of my great grandma's watches... I went for a hunt on the way home and the first thing I dug was that watch..weird

Nice silver haul for the pot o treasure there JimmyB.
Yeah, it's real weird how sometimes things will jump to the coil shortly after you've either been talking about, looking at, or thinking about them.
I had a similar experience with a little WW1 medalette that I had been looking at on TradeMe.....I even had it bookmarked to possibly bid on.
Two days before the auction ended, I went for a hunt and dug an identical one!....weird and freeky!......I've tried this theory with a sovereign but............still waiting! ;)

great work jimmy,

love those nz silvers,
and of course that 1839, it's a beauty full.
worth a post on the oldest coin thread.
[ even though it's not your oldest,
mate, it's silver, gotta count for something ]

i wish the theories on 'dreamt finds' were true.
i can't stop dreaming of a Agee-jar full of sovereigns for some reason, rrgh.

Thanks mickey. the 1839 shilling was in a spill with 2 penny's 1890/1902 so im shore it would have some story's to tell.
I tried #8s theory before my last hunt :) Google searched sovereigns and had a look threw them for 5min or so...this is my trash bucket since my last gold:)I know there's 1 there somewhere.. every bit of trash makes the odds better ay:)

The V date is 1900 to 1949.
Could be a collar stud but think it's a cuff link.

Nice finds Jimmy .
Envious of your 100 coins from your Silver mine. :-)

It will run out one day so go for it before we all work out where your digging. :-)
