i got my very ever first ring around an old nurseing hostel, and hospital tennis court, im pretty sure its silver theres no marking on it but it looks like silver and no corrosion so i dont think its plated was a good 6-8 inches deep reading a solid 80 on the AT pro.

then i got the old 1916 penny at omoto racecourse only detected there for 30 minutes on the way home from the beach, first target was the coin after that i got trash tabs and a couple of 50c and 20c the penny was a solid 77 on the AT pro.

then my next best find was at the old racecourse that has been pulled down in my local town we have 3 racecourses i have one 4 mins from home and i have permission to hunt there lots of lids but theres cash there to :) now back to my find it was my first silver coin a 1936 sixpence. and lots of other coins 10c 5c 1c 2c. the sixpence was a 67 on the AT pro.

the next day i got my next cool find at the same spot it was a silver 1940 3 pence so its going good and i cant wait to find more buried treasure will keep posting finds each week or so the 3 pence was a solid 60 on the AT pro :)

also at the local historical swimming pool i had a wee swing there and got a goliwog badge says golden shred i googled it and it was marmalade or somthing and there pretty cool and made a few different ones some are worth good money in good knick :) mines abt rough some enamal missing still bloody cool bit of history

hey man, im stoked so much fun just digging shit up lol and i would just buy the AT pro and buy seperate smaller AT gold coil there both good machines on the AT pro you you have couple more options than the AT gold the AT pro runs at 15khz the AT gold is 18khz not to much difference i have found gold with the AT pro small to even with the bigger DD coil :)

heres some of todays finds went hunting at the omoto race track again got around 20 pull tabs a 5c coin and a 1956 half penny, so moved on to a old site were we had a memorial swimming pool they pulled it down around 2 years ago. every target was a coin no good ones but ill be going back there for sure. also theres a pic of the gold i found few weeks ago with the AT pro surprised with the size it picked up but they were very close to surface on top of sandstone.

hi guys went for a hunt at dixon park in greymouth a local kids park with a toddlers pool. its a old park and had some cool finds.got my first florin a 1933 silver. solid 80 on the AT pro, also a old munted silver british 3pence, and a worn british silver 6pence, also a 223 rifle round which i think is a weird thing to find in a local kids park, i since found out back in the 1980s a man went abit crazy with a 223 rifle and something else. he shot up a police car, they still have the bonnet with bullet holes in it at the station he was eventually shot dead by police perhaps its one of his unspent rounds?. also found some junk jewlery. kids earing i thought i had hit silver gold and a diamond for 3 seconds lol also as usual lots of pain in the arse 1c 2c 5c 20c 10c grrrrrr lol

My Mum was born in Greymouth in 1933 and grew up in Cowper St. Pretty sure that 1933 florin was the one my granddad lost in the park on the way back home from the celebratory drink at the pub the night she was born.

just used cloudy ammonia to clean up the silver coins i found at dixon park. i let them soak for 2 hours and then rubbed them in my hand with some baking soda and my oh my did they come up shiney new. worked a treat i now have the date on the 3 pence (1891) and 6pence (1877) so thats a good sighn that theres nice old british silvers in the park and i got permission from caretaker to hunt there showed him my holes i had dug and he was pleased with the job i done. i dont think its ever been hunted :) should be going there tommorow if it doesnt rain so ill post some more pics and do some live digs :):):)

ok went out today to hokitika beach front as the sea has munted the bank and its all caving in, didnt really have much luck but i got told a guy found 3 gold sovereigns on the sand just walking by after the rough sea. now that would be sick....

so i went to a big park in hokitika first target was a 1936 half penny, then a penny, then some 1cent 2cent as usual lol. all of a sudden a council guy approached me and said he had 3 phone calls in 10 minutes about me detecting lol. i was only going around the edge of the park and staying away from the main rugby field so he said thats fine and i even showed him my holes and he was very pleased with my tidy diggings, i carried on round the other side of the park, and bingo i hit the mother load lol $27 in gold coins and a few more pennys then i hit my best finds ever a old 1800s coin spill i dug a 1881 british six pence, right beside it i was getting 2 signals both reading a high solid 91 on the AT pro there was 2 silver british florins beside each other woooop wooop i was so amazed there my first ones ive found. the bottom pic is of the british florins and six pence im soaking them in ammonia to clean them. will get a pic up and a date when there clean

then i found a little round locket, and a amusment token, also a MINIC TRIANG TOY wind up key LB bros limited made in england pretty cool. and i also found a 1989 one pound coin. heres the pics enjoy
