hi guys bought the AT pro couple weeks ago and heres a few finds for a few days detecting old racecourses, beach, parks.

i got my very ever first ring around an old nurseing hostel, and hospital tennis court, im pretty sure its silver theres no marking on it but it looks like silver and no corrosion so i dont think its plated was a good 6-8 inches deep reading a solid 80 on the AT pro.

then i got the old 1916 penny at omoto racecourse only detected there for 30 minutes on the way home from the beach, first target was the coin after that i got trash tabs and a couple of 50c and 20c the penny was a solid 77 on the AT pro.

then my next best find was at the old racecourse that has been pulled down in my local town we have 3 racecourses i have one 4 mins from home and i have permission to hunt there lots of lids but theres cash there to :) now back to my find it was my first silver coin a 1936 sixpence. and lots of other coins 10c 5c 1c 2c. the sixpence was a 67 on the AT pro.

the next day i got my next cool find at the same spot it was a silver 1940 3 pence so its going good and i cant wait to find more buried treasure will keep posting finds each week or so the 3 pence was a solid 60 on the AT pro :)

also at the local historical swimming pool i had a wee swing there and got a goliwog badge says golden shred i googled it and it was marmalade or somthing and there pretty cool and made a few different ones some are worth good money in good knick :) mines abt rough some enamal missing still bloody cool bit of history

Yup great going man! Its typical stuff to find at old places like a racecourse-lotsa ringpulls n stuff but the good stuff is there as well! Keep it up.
Give those little silver beauties incl the ring a soak in cloudy ammonia for 15 mins and a scrub with an old toothbrush-theyll come up nice as!
There's another to find and I'm gunna find it!

They are great machines. Yesterdays finds for me included $21 in goldies, a cool silver ring a badge which I have to research a shilling and a bunch of 1c coins and 5c which is unusual for me. Wife was using the AT Gold and did pretty well too. Found an old pocket knife (something I haven't found yet).
Would like to try another machine but pretty much have my bases covered now and they have both paid for themselves several times over.

sounds awesome $21 is a good in goldies, my mind has only just started thinking of more places to go as ive been doing it lol im going to get the smaller AT gold coil 5x8 i think for the pro for when im out looking for gold or small targets. and im sick of finding bloody 1c 2c lol but they all add up i guess. im so happy to see silver tho, i really want a gold ring now tho bad hahah and i wish i could find a gold coin like i did dredging last summer that would be great

Even though I have had a brilliant mentor in the gold fields I still suck but as I really enjoy being out there it doesn't matter a whole heap. There is just something mystical/magical.... that sounds a little weird but what I mean is you get a sense of the people that have been there before you and sometimes a feeling that they may not all have left.

I will have try the 11"dd on the AT Gold as I find I'm digging a lot more bottle caps with the AT PRO, ones I had left behind with the AT GOLD
I'm curious if it's because of the bigger coil or just I don't know the machine as well. Still the coverage of the bigger coil makes a massive difference and the smaller coil on the AT Gold rocks when coin hunting around swings etc.

The place I went to yesterday is a park next to a primary school, you'd expect to find the coins in the school not next to it, wonder if they used to have fairs or something there.
