hey kiwi thanks for the kind words, i dont think im the first in the area as i was told the main places i go were done in the 80s but as detectors have come a long way since then, it makes sence as i get alot of 1c 2c pieces which went out in the 80s. but ive been over this area 20 times and still finding awesome stuff. because im now a pro lol on the AT pro with numbers sounds, a 2c piece gives me 80-81 when i first went over these areas i missed a few of them signals dismissing them as 2c pieces. but now i know the very slight difference in sound 1800s silvers have a very sweet tone that is the same every sweep were as a 2c seems to drop off on the tone very slightly. but im digging them all now anyway and finding some awesome stuff. the little white gold ring gave me a 60-61 2 inchs deep which is normaly a pull tab, and i was in a trashy area so lucky i dug it. so my new moto is dig every thing over 43 on numbers. goodluck out there :)

I would like an at pro or at gold. Mght have to see about trading my GoldBug Pro for one. Cant see the mrs letting me have both1 Your At seems to pick up the gold too so should be good for both. Did I remember you saying the At Pro International was better due to the tones or something? What was the jist of it again?

Its the US At Pro has a better tonal range for us here in NZ (larger mid range tone). The Int model has a very large high range and small mid range ( $1, $2 and goldstalkers gold ring would have come into the high tone range) but Int users don't seem to have a problem with it so it should be easy enough to get used to.

what shilo said below sums it up good, i prefer the USA AT pro not the international AT pro. just the tone range is more even on mine the international has bugger all mid tone range. i had the international and it was good but i kept my usa model one as i was use to the tones $1 $2 come up at 76-77 but gold rings ive found are mid tone coming in around 55-64. so get either one you will learn the tones quick. i would reccomend the AT pro to anyone they kick ass on ground and in water you cant beat the versitility

You are falling to bits mate, sounds a lot like me lol.

Yep, greenstone pendants no problem, still making them - I don't do gold inlays though - no idea how.

Look on you tube for video about melting silver - spotted some on there once.

Waiting for the sun has been a faaaaarkin long wait round here, getting like one or two sunny days a month lately. NUGGY
