Better post some pics of my finds from todays hunt with Ericd and No8.
Had an epic day today. First signal of the day was a sterling silver ring with wee stones in it. Stoked. Then not long after that I got a 9ct gold bangle weighing 8 grams. Very stoked.
Then a long while after that I popped out a beaut sterling silver thimble. Super stoked.
Hallmarks put this from Chester and date it at 1889. Maker is Henry Griffith & Son who only established in 1887. Also found a large musket ball, a nice Victorian broach and a few nice silvers. The buckle and second silver ring are from a previous hunt.

Haha cheers guys. As much as I love finding coins, esp 1800s british silvers its the one off weird things that nobody else has seen much that get me going. Those and military items. Esp old lead bullets as Ericd already knows lol.

Awesome finds there mate, I've yet to find a musket ball but I'm hoping to change that this summer when I get a chance to hunt a new permission..... waiting for the ground to dry up enough to get a 4x4 into the location.
