Hi there Poohbear. Part of this area is not a people beach. I tend to drift off to the older spots where people use to hang out back in the day. Over time these spots are left deserted and this is where the old finds are. Not that many but they are there.
The other day me and Chriyboy found an old time short muddy beach/landing and right there we could see heaps of coins just sitting on the top, was amazing. We were just walking around picking them up. Some were in bunches. We regret not taking photos as this was rare.
Good luck with your garge sale.

Flat out busy but managed a few hunts.

Trip #109

End of the road for a quick buzz.
1 coin. Old 20 cent piece.

Trip # 110

To the end of the road and over the hill this time. Have been saving this spot up for a while and my first hit was a 1921 penny. Jammed in the mud type rock in the corner of the beach. Had to excavate it out. Some sinkers, a 5 cent piece then an unrecognisable penny, say its George v, then what appeares to be a half penny of the same era. Havnt found much of late so i was happy to find these.
4 coins all up. 3 pennys, one a 1921.

For sure, there are plenty of smaller beaches here. If only i had a boat then i could get to where i really want to go. The areas down the end of my road have been slowly eroding away so im guessing a lot of the finds may be in the water a few meters past the low tide line. Not real keen to run my coil in the saltwater. High patchy gravel overburden in most places makes the coin line hard to access. But it all moves around now and then so you just buzz in where you can.

A small glory lane

Trip #111

Me and Chrisyboy found a small mud flat on the other side of the bay and cleaned up aprox 44 coins in a short time before we decided to leave the rest for another time. For the second time in a row my first find was my oldest penny yet, a 1908. Then heaps of 1 and 2 cent pieces then ding ding, a 1945 threepence. We were hoping for GOLD.
3 goldies, approx 44 coins all up. 2 pennys and a silver 3p.

Picture soon
