Cool vid there tonznz. At some stage when you get a spare mo, can you put together a vid of your best or favourite past finds please?.....would love to see them all laid out.
Also, did you video your exhibition setup? If so, I'm sure that lots of us who couldn't get to Dunedin to see it live, would love to see the vid.

Sorry I didn't video the exhibition set up. I didn't have the Gopro back then. It might take too long to reinstate it for a video now, but I'll think about it. The idea of past best past finds might be something I could do.

Cool......I'd look forward to seeing the best of the best, as I'm sure would lots of other followers of your thread. Keep up the great work Tony and keep the history coming!

Grest finds once again. I was out on Hagley on saturday when a fella walked up to me and said he had watched a couple of people on the mudflats in Dunedin. I guess you were one of those people.

Cheers Mike.

I like that ring Tonznz.
Regarding your EGA badge I found one last year too but in a bit better condition to yours.

If you would like to see how yours may have looked then follow this link on my blog.

When I found mine I spent some time trying to determine whether it was a genuine Marine issue or a knock off.
There are so many on the internet that it is very difficult to tell but an ex Marine that I corresponded with on the FMD forum in the US seemed to think it was a real EGA. Curiously I cant find any record of the US Marines having been in the park where I dug it up.
So to answer your question there is no easy way to date them but it can be fun to try. Good luck.

.......just getting better and better........nice work Tony. Keep it going mate.....you're an inspiration.
Could that be Violet Walrond's long lost spy glass lens do you think???.........or maybe the one Zane Grey dropped on one of his many visits to colonial Dunedin!
