I will check out the "diamond". My curiosity will get the better of me, I'll let you know.

Volunteer button is very nice. Some lovely finds and the bronze axe head has definitely changed the course of New Zealands history being definitive and totally conclusive proof that Bronze age adventurers found New Zealand before the Celts and certainly before the Maoris...Did I say that?

Hi Tonz. Great finds. What sort of an area are they coming out of? I have a very small area at a 100+ year old pub to do today. Hopefully that will lead to being able to do the rest of the area which is much bigger.

Cheers Mike.

Hi Tony. I'm keen to see if you have found any further info on the wee Iron Cross (Nazi badge) that you found. I'm guessing that it may well be a bit earlier than WW2. Judging by the age of the other finds in the group with this pic, it could well be a WW1 relic brought back from the European war by a returning First World War soldier. I think that this would have to be a pretty rare find out of the ground here in little ole NZ......well done. Also, the Chch exhibition badge is cool. Very hard to find (so I've been told), with the top "souvenir" bar still attached.
