Sorry to burst your bubble but you do realise that you cant just go to any place you feel like unless you have your own claim or are going to one of the recreational fossicking areas with hand tools only?? Sucks I know but that is the law. Other wise you do so at your own risk. It would pay to check if the areas you plan on going dont have claims on them. Other wise you are stealing someone elses gold that they have paid a lot of time & money in getting the rights to get. It isnt as easy as just going bush to get some gold. Not these days. You will be suprised who is watching. Be careful. JW

She's a shape shifting reptilian !!!!!!

But on another note, since you know all the rules, then you will also know that the owner of the land (weather you know him or not) does not have the legal right to allow you or anybody to dredge for or take gold from on his property. He can allow you on to his property but he has no right to let any body take any gold or minerals. Not even himself. All gold & minerals are the property of the crown. Not the land owner. I fully agree, the rules suck but they are the rules. Happy hunting JW :)

It's warming up up this way whats it like in Arrowtown? I can't wait for another weekend or more down there looking for unmolested bedrock and the all ellusive rocking horse poop :-P Whats another good public area down that way?? If anyone wants to plan a BBQ beers and sluice off one weekend thn I'm keen & will supply the venison patties and stupidness needed

Who's keen to take it on? there are more people into getting gold than there's is doc worker's to back the crown up... unless the filth get involved then it get's serius.... and the army..... they will want me dead after this... it's hapening all over the world at the moment new zealanders are whimp's compared to other country's by whimp's i mean there are so many of us that just let it slide let it slip who care's it's not happening here so it's ok... what about whene "they" do come a calling and want to control us even more.... will we stand there and take it?? or stand up against "them"? ..... we all are part of this earth we should all be entitled to any part of it.... anything in it... gold mineral's vegy's what ever.... im angery.... and would love it if other people got angery too because we all hold the power... we can all change it... we just need to unite.... sure i may sound all hippy on it... but in the end it is all about love and freedom.... for all... every man woman and child on earth..... anyway's ive had my rant ...... much love all (part from the crown) and have a nice day (part from the crown) ..... :D

Our government tells us it is good for our economy but that is pure rubbish...all we get out of it is some employment, contracts and around 1 to 2% royalty. New Zealanders should wrestle control of the country back into the hands of New Zealanders so that we get the benefit of our mineral resources and so on.

Create an advisory panel consisting of DOC, MAF, Regional Council, hunters, fishermen, trampers, miners and all other outdoor users and this panels recommendations be heeded when the laws, rules and regulations are drawn up with the interests of all parties taken into account and protected accordingly.

We cannot do it so the 'receivers' the offshore money masters then dictate terms - we have to sell our state assets including communications - this means they can monitor everything we say and do - eg have you read Telecoms conditions of supply of service? Telecom offered subscribers free MacAfee anti virus - why? Read MacAfees conditions to find out - very sinister. New Zealand no longer runs New Zealand - those we voted into power are told what decisions to make so that effectively we are under control - We are controlled by World financial institutions not by the government...thats the way I see it.
