Yep best result I have seen for a while Hatter.
Well done.
Love to know which area of Auckland that came from (without being specific of course)
due to the number of us who have probably missed those finds. ;-)

Didn't go out all week for a detect as its dark when I finish work and the tides were not in my favour.
Yesterday I was too busy but today I had time and it was low tide so went and scored myself 6 more rings!!!
Todays lot included two junk ones and 4 sterling silver ones. Sadly no gold.... Also a 1934 silver shilling and a magnetite necklace
that I found by eye. Also found were about 20 coins and 12oz of sinkers. Cheers all

Who wants to see some more goodies? Had time for a couple of hours at the beach this morning at low tide.
Coins and rings are in pictures below. The gold ring has no marks but is sort of three rings and is missing part of the centre ring. It came out of the sand clean as it is so Im certain its gold. Anybody got one of them test kits they want to let me use.....? I nearly had a heart attack when the ring with the big stone popped out, but they don't put diamonds in sterling rings do they?
More gold next time I hope!

Looks like Dale and I may have some competition on our hands!
Well done though. That silver looks very nice.
Still doesn't beat my 8 rings in 5 hours a couple weeks back though ;)
What machines are you using mate?

5 rings in two hours, over 5 hours that's 12 rings so my hit rate per time is better haha. I think I did ok.
8 rings in a hunt would be good, especially if they are not junk. I'll try next weekend! Just swinging an old sovereign XS-2 Pro.
Got it a few weeks ago off sycotoad on here. I see you have found a titanium ring, r they worth much? The ring on the left of post #21 is titanium with (3 diamonds?)

Don't think titanium is worth much at all.

I followed up Mudwiggles lead about Stanmore bay, well I found lots of targets but nothing flash. I got a years supply of sinkers though!
Thereafter I headed to another beach and had a ball finding a pile coins amongst a freshly eroded spot. Also came away with the two bits of gold!
