I've thought why has no one thought about running a competition let's have some thoughts and start one . Finds have to be realistic let's say I'll start the first one who ever finds it gets to call the next one ???? Who's in?

ITs called "Play It Forward"

http://forum.kimbucktwo....ex.php/topic,5814.0.html

Ok all, here is a new competition that was suggested by one of our very own members (Alimo88).

The rules are very simple.

A nominated item has to be found
When you find it, you post a picture of the item in this thread
You then nominate the next item that has to be found
A moderator/administrator will verify your find and your nominated item
Once verified, a moderator/administrator will award you the PIF Trophy (only one PIF Trophy can be awarded per person)

About Rule 2: The honour system applies here and to keep in the spirit of the competition, the item MUST be found AFTER the person nominated it.

This is a friendly competition so please don't make the item "to rare or hard to find".
Specifying something like a 1930 Penny is just being plain ridiculous.
If you specify something to find that the moderators deem WAY to hard, you risk not getting your award.

Here are the requirements for specifying an item:

The item MUST be found using a metal detector
Gold nuggets are NOT permitted to be specified
The item MUST NOT be to difficult or rare to be able to find it

As, i think i suggested before to Gavin, if we had some sort of trophies incorporated that MODS can give away - like on AU forum,
any of similar comps would be very popular.

Like for example i got my Full House in one day for the fin of all predecimal coins. :

Like I was saying earlier . My grandmother who has lived at her home for many years over 40 years I found over 15 oldest was 1947 and got three off them think I sold my collection for ten dollars at a garage sale and included was an old bullet which the guy came back to tell me it was from a gun that was traded to the maoris for land which he had a gun from that period . Love that history side of stuff . Found the bullet at the head of keneparu sounds. Anywho I'm gonna find one this weekend so I'm thinking now what to find next

Here it is, something easy, something common, something foreign:

An Aussie 2c piece.

Was just wondering what the coin was I just found.. just under the diameter of a 50c piece and about 2/3 as thick,
can see PENNY written on it, other side has a torso of harpist. awful condition.

Found $7 in 1990 and 1991 (in $2 and $1) in a single plug making 13$ spendable and a ring this weekend:)

Could always change the comp into what a radio station did 'Send an Aussie Home'.
I have AU$18 (more if I looked harder) to put towards the effort..... just a thought!
