Hi Jeff,
I am still trying to decide on a detector.
I am seriously considering the Ace250 do you mind telling me which coil you are using?

My 350 works fine most of the time in the salty ground the hardest being the low tide mark. If the hard is not too far down even better. I have found that you need at least 4 notches on the sensitivity as 3 gives you hardly any depth within reason. Ground balancing is too hard so i just move slower. This has taken a long time to master and can be frustrating at first.
Crisyboy is hard out on the shallow beaches with his 250 and he finds heaps.
