In the dry sand you can reach some amazing depths. Down on the low tide line things are a lot more tricky. Basically you can only detect so far down as the sensitivity is turned down low to govern for the water and the salt. Have a dig down here to see how far it is to the harder ground, if you can at all. If its a foot or more deep your probably out of luck as thats getting tough for the 250, even the 350. Your mostly going to only pick up the large iron objects in this depth of sand and water. All trial and era at first.

i got a ace 350 about 3 mounths ago.i love it.iv got $480 bucks in 1 and 2 dollar coins and 80 silver coins oldest being a 1834 shillingplus 3 silver half crowns and 2 gothic florins and some silver rings.i havent had a good look for gold yet.to many pull tabs.i went to the hunting shop the other day and got some camo tape for it.its looks way better than the yellow.good luck

In some respects the old bell tones are better. Sure you will dig more trash but you are far less likely to miss a good target. Personally the bell tones were the primary reason I sold my old Ace 250 just something I found REALLY grated on my nerves. Great machine just not for me.
