This thread is going down hill fast for no particular reason except two hotheads that continuously misconstrue what the other in implying, until it spirals out of control. :)

Drop the pistols and walk away, boys. :)

I am by no means an authority on coin grading but I do know that people usually over grade & over value there coins, the new photos still arent the best but looks like the usual kind of wear with the reverse being better than the obverse and only a few edge dings. prob around F for the obverse & gF-aVF for the reverse. What ever grade it is I'd luv to have it ya lucky bugger!!

With the 1/2 sov and 6p found it would be worth hitting the surrounding land with a detector. I can't imagine old timer's carrying such coinage on them when they were actually working the digs and would have stashed their cache. Thus they must have been camped somewhere in the area? Maybe a washout / slip or similar disaster took their valuables into the stream?

I reckon there's bound to be more (and likely more sov's) around.
