Sounds like a plan, Stan!

I should be there, along with the wife and kids on their bikes. Plus if we pull enough $2 coins out of the ground we can send them to the botanic gardens ice cream shop. :)

I think I remember the approximate spot Martin pulled that William IV shilling out. Ha ha ha.

In case my wife unlocks my chains and lets me out, which car park do you mean? Park terrace?

My greatest fear is that when I die my wife will sell my collection for what I told her it cost me.

Usually if we just say car park, we mean the Armagh St one beside the botanic gardens. It's a good central spot for vectoring out to the many spoils. :)

Just looking at the map, I think we're talking about the same car park :)

Well we had a good day for hunting,i met a few new people from the forum such as Hunter (martin) and i beleave it is expat (simon) as well as (andrew) oroplata

i personally only found 1 silver and a couple bucks spendable and the normal 1 and 2 cent piece's and a couple 5 cent piece's

andrew didnt do any better .dont think he even found a silver... Simon found a silver florin and i think a shilling....but the big winner for the day as far as what was found was hunter who found a Baltic war medal with a date on it 1854-1855

Fantastic find hunter and it was a pleasure meeeting you guys..hope we can get together again.

The pic is hunter and his medal and from what i just read it is Silver

Herre is a link to what it looks like up close..lol http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baltic_Medal

Yep, thoroughly enjoyed the small time I spent there with you boys, great to put some faces to the names I have.
That medal was fantastic, such a big tactile chunk of silver, the detail so crisp and well struck. It made me go all moist handling it. Well done Martin.

That loss would have seriously p*ss*d somebody off back in the day.
