Oh good you going to put some on to share Jafa - with this abysmal weather a think a lot of people arent getting out as they would like to.

...and yes thats a very nice lot of gold - good to see it and great to know that someone is getting some at the moment!

Good effort that man-I know theres a lot more virgin ground out there-just a matter of doing your homework and spending time on the ground.

Hasnt happened for me yet but its only a matter of time!

HI GUYS.
THE GOLD IN THE PIC WAS FOUND CLOSE TOGETHER, WHEN I SAY CLOSE I MEAN WITHIN 20 METERS OF EACH OTHER.
APART FROM THE BIG NUGGET WITCH WAS ABOUT 40 METERS AWAY DOWN STREAM HIGHER UP THE BANK ABOUT A FOOT DEEP.
I USE A GPX-4500 AND 12INCH DD SOME TIMES I'LL USE THE 15INCH DD BUT ITS A PAIN IN THE ASS AROUND ROCKS AND WEIGHS TO MUCH.
I CRALL THROUGH THE BOWLS OF HELL SOME DAYS TO FIND GOLD LIKE THIS YOU HAVE TO BE FIT I TAKE A ROPE WITH ME TO GET DOWN BANKS AND WATER FALLS. I FOUND ANOTHER 10 GRAMS UP FURTHER
THEN LAST WEEK I TOOK MY SLUICEBOX TO THE VERY TOP OF THE CREEK,IT HAS NOT BEEN MINED.THERES ONLY ENOUGH WATER IN THE CREEK TO RUN A SLUICE WHEN ITS RAININ.I WORKED FOR FOUR HOURS AND I'LL TELL YOU ALL ABOUT THAT SOMEOTHER TIME WHEN I'M DONE SLUICING IT.

Very nice pics of the gold and creek.

Are you able to get to bedrock in the creek or is the overburden too deep?

Looks slightly little rougher than most the nuggets I tend to see. A bit closer to the source perhaps?

Thanks for sharing - very impressed and looking forward to hearing about the sluicing! ;)

Hi Guys, The photos were taken over quite sometime. The photo with the weka was taken at the Lyell. Not one piece of gold is from there and the sandfles took the photo.I'd like to know if anyone has detected any gold up there.
The gold comes from all over the top of the south Island. Some of it was found in spots you would not beleave.
The keas were up the Howard followed me around for about an hour.
I've been sick with gold fever now for the last 15 years and try to full off the waggon most weekends.
I wont be going anywhere for a while work needs some attention.
The minesharft is from up the wakamarina and some of the gold is from there.
