Gidday all, I have been out on a couple of golding trips recently. One was to the west coast where i got half and ounce in 3 days (picture 1) and the other was a day trip with my younger brother to _ _ _ _ _ _. The day trip netted us 12 grams (picture 2) . Also a picture of 2 small nuggets in situ underwater (third picture. Im off to Vietnam this sunday so that will be the end of my adventures for a while. Happy hunting out there dont find it all while im away.
And now....On sandy beaches and muddy soil, rings and coins await my coil!

I didn't quite catch where that day trip was ... ?

There would be some interesting detecting in Vietnam even if there wasn't gold I should imagine.

nice work hatter. the effort pays off when you head to the right places.

post vietnam if you're down this neck of the woods maybe we could head out somewhere in this part of the country. a bit more of a mish than last time. i'm trying to arrange access to somewhere special where i know the big stuff is. here's hoping.

have fun in vietnam. it's a crazy place but well worth it. crazy in terms of motorcycles and organised chaos.

hi hatter, yep, i've been to vietnam, sort of. me and the missus did a 6 week trip around s.e.asia about 3 years ago. only managed 1 day in vietnam as i got sick and the pollution was killing me so i went back to thailand down to the beaches for some fresh air. so only been to hanoi. hopefully we're heading back in may. well, got flight booked for then, just have to see what is happening with work and time off etc. planning for a 3 week spell just in vietnam. an interesting country. when i was there there was 17% growth and that was at the start of the recession. i hear the people in the south are a bit friendlier than in the north. just don't look like an american and watch out for bikes!
