Thanks for the kind words Chrisy.
Unfortunately the button is aluminium although I thought it was silver
when I dug it.
Silver dose not get that brown corrosion on it.

Have you got your ACE yet?

cool couple of simple tests for silver
if you dont have an acid tester.
simple tests for a rough not garrenteed result,
the ping test, tap object on side with a pencil listen
for ringing sound great for flat round pieces like
coins & rings etc,
next hold a match against object and light with
another match sulpher will make a sulpher mark
as silver will attract sulpher, easy to remove
wih baking soda will not damage silver,
or because silver is the highest conductor of
heat place part of object in ice in a cup count
10 seconds if object is silver it will get very very cold
in short time 10 secs other metal will take 30 secs,
hope this is useful,
cheers chris.

As for me- i just see silver, i do not know why. never was mistaken.
I can pick up a piece of broken silver on the road after spotting it 2 feet away.

Yestarday i was UserPostedImage

I dug up chain and almost got excited, but once cleaned from sand- it was crap metal :(
