Hello !

It's my first post, :-) so, i went in New Zealand last year, and i did gold panning in the Queenstown area, and found very few gold. But i was very happy !!!!!
I use metal detector in France since 23 years ( mostly for antic coins ), i started with a fisher 1235X, and i get many other detectors, the two last ones, a Minelab gp 5000,
and now i use a Deus from xp, a very strong machine. ( not as strong as a gp 5000 but on old fields the gp 5000 bips every times )
I back in Queenstown in February, to do some gold panning, and try the Deus metal detector.
If some guys want join to me, and try the Deus, it will be great and fun.
Hope to meet some friends there,

Best Regards,

Jim Labenne

Depending on when you come and what I am up to, I'd be interested in a road trip Jim :)

Hello !

I will be in Queenstown by February 7, and very excited to compare a Minelab gp vs xp Deus :-)
Do you know if some material like sluice and small tools is available in Queenstown ? I have checked on internet but i found very few.
Thank you guys, i am very happy to back with the Kiwis ;-)

Sincerely yours,

Jim Labenne

I stock plastic products, but not sure how that date is going to work just yet. I may be down that way a little earlier.

Hello Dean, hello Shane,

So, my luggages are almost ready, ready to take the plane with my sluice, a gold and sand pump, and my metal detector. :-)
We do some air test with this machine, it take a 0,6 gm nugget ( found in Australia with a gp 5000) at 7,8 inch, it's not a pulsed induction, and weight 0,850 Kg with the small coil, you can take electronic in your pocket, it work by wifi with the coil, very curious to see that in the field..
If I found a nugget over 1 gm, I swear to do a bungy jump ! ( a small bridge to start ... )
And ready for fight with the sandfly, when i was gold pannig on the Wakamarina they killed me last year ...

Very Best Regards,

Jim

I feed a fair few sandflies this week in Queenstown for you - didn't take much in the way of gold though so it should all still be there for you.
