Certainly a good size piece though it doesnt appear to me to have much 'character' - sort of 'bland' very water worn and plain BUT worth lots of dollars - I dont think I will be Russian over there to look though as it surely is a once in ten thousand lifetimes find.

It would be nice to find something even a fraction of its size though.

Yeah pretty boring looking. Although, given that I am not into flashy I would be happy finding them all day long.

Hi guys, WOW....imagine finding that sucker.....BUT.....how can that 2nd link claim that this is the largest gold nugget found in the world when the Hand Of Faith Nugget found in 1980 in Australias Victorias golden triangle region weighed 27 kilos....not just 7 kilos as this nugget is????? But 27 kilos. IMAGINE finding that today. It sold for 1 million dollars back then & is housed in the Golden Nugget Casino in Las Vegas still in its natural, as found condition.

Yep,looks like the east vs west thing is still alive and well in Russia.

The Hand of Faith nugget is still the biggest found with a metal detector so there's hope for us yet!

Here's a piece about the lucky fella who found it that I saw a while back.
