Hi there JW. Watched 2 hours on that find on sky the other day. Was truely amazing. He did say that other detectorists had been on this field and never found it. Talk about nice finds, wow.

Great stuff - just what I like watching - sad that we are a pioneer country where the only treasures are those gleaned form the beaches, gold nuggets if you are lucky and maybe one of the few 19th - 20th Century caches of money known to exist and some I daresay unknown. There must be the odd miners cache still lying hidden in the hills but possibly New Zealands largest treasure is that of 'Jimmy the Needle' who kept good records of his finances and these indicated his worth, in gold coin at £10,000 which was and has never been discovered. This would be worth $6,000,000 minimum today especially in view that all coins will predate 1862.
