Hi everybody! Íàm Christoph from Germany (near Heidelberg).
Can you tell me if there are shops in Dunedin, ore the region Otago für Minelab and Keene dredges?
Are the NZ rivers clean, or do they also have a lot of rubbish like in Europe, with nails and other kind of iron?
Thanks!

Christoph

No shops in Dunedin for Keene Dredges or Minelab detectors - Someone on here might be able to tell you where or who in New Zealand imports them or stocks them.

One possible way t get a Keen Dredge here or a second hand minelab detector is on the New Zealand trading site 'Trademe' - it is New Zealands version of Ebay. If you register with them then you can bid for what you want and on the question and answer facilities can ask questions and maybe see if the vendor (seller) will hold it for you until you come to Kiwiland.

Generally the Eastern Otago rivers are very clean and the Central Otago ones are clean of man made rubbish but full of Black sand which is metallic.

I think Skylab in Christchurch sells Minelabs don't they? If so that is probably the closest place.
