I've just bought a Eureka Gold, with the intention of finding a nugget somewhere in the fossicking areas, either coast or Nelson area... :) Also keen to try my hand at other prospecting methods, have a pan and other useful tools for crevicing. Looking forward to the coming summer months with the lower rivers/creeks for searching... Cheers Mike

Shame I wasn't into gold prospecting when I used to live up in Takaka, cars and chicks were all I was interested in - WAY back then... :)

I'm a total newbie with only a few days prospecting under my belt......i do a bit of detecting here in Chch though for kicks.

Maybe a motor camp full of 16yo hotties to keep the 17yo boy distracted but with stuff for the little ones to do too? :)
