4 silvers and my first ever gold ring today...beautiful 18ct with diamonds and possibly rubies?

Awesome :) Finishing the day off tonight with some rabbit and wallaby culling and some cold beers with a wee salmon fish in the morning... damn I'm happy!

Nice one Dan. You put the time in swinging the coil, was only a matter of time before you come up trumps. Well done dude.

Well done!! Sure as hell beats my first gold ring! I've found one or two now and its become a bit of an expensive excersise around here...the wife likes them and often they have lost stones and need sizing, cleaning, restoration and the costs can add up $$$$ lol

I dug up an 18k gold and jade ring a couple of weeks ago which gave me a pull-tab reading except it was a pretty solid hit so I dug it. I usually walk away from those ones...bit of a lesson in that.

Happy hunting
David

I have showed a couple of guys I know in the antiques trade and all 3 confirmed that yep she's an old old ring...good stones etc. Didn;t manage to get it to the jewellers for fixing of the bend in it but next week will. Hopefully he can shed more light on what exactly I have

Cheers and good luck Poohbear may you find some yellow!!
