Hi

Yes, found three silvers along with some other interesting finds.. Ash was kind enough to join me! :)

I will post photos tonight, but from memory I found an 1880 six pence, 1879 shilling, 1912 threepence, 1874 penny, 18?? penny, a Winter Olympics pin, and some other more recent coins.. and some odd bits..

Ash was still hunting when I left the park this morning, but had already found a handful of interesting items.. One of which looked rather interesting and will need some research.

Will post photo tonight when the kids are in bed and I have free time..

Was a good challenge for myself, as i barely see anything before 8am on a regular basis at the moment.
I enjoyed the hunt and meeting up with another detectorist.

Karl wasted me in the old coins department today, i didn't end up finding a single pre decimal.
Lots of bottle caps, $13 in goldies and 33c of old currency, and other bits of trash made up my finds.

Most interesting things i found were half of a tag/medal and some other object i have no clue about.
I'll get some decent pics of them soon, but till then...

I can see myself doing some more early hunts this week, got the itch back again, and it feels good :D

Sorry, I was off by a few years when I posted earlier for coin dates.. My memory is getting worst as I am getting older..

Will have to get together again on another hunt Ash

Sorry it was so early.. My wife my let me get out and play at a more reasonable hour next time.

The shilling I pulled up this morning was around 12 inches down.. Was about to give up when I felt my digging tool take a bite out of it :(

Cool. I think I might pop down to Cramner Square now and find your fresh plugs and see if I can pull anything more out of the same area. I like a challenge. :)

Post when you head out, and where you're heading, in case I get permission from the handbrake :)

You guys didn't leave much at Cramner Square, only an 1875 penny, an 1979 10 cent piece, a 1990 $1 and a mower-mangled 1990 $2.

I was at work, otherwise I would have joined you.

Find anything interesting oroplata?

I was there a few months ago when they were dredging the lakes and I found a few old bottles.. one of which was a torpedo.. Unfortunately it was broken..
