You need some of these Gavin!!!

I own this exact pair, they have lasted 4 pretty full on days of mining (dig and sluice) with no visible wear and zero leaks, have more grip in the soles then my current pair of waterproof hiking boots, and they are pretty cheap, not much more than a pair of red bands these days.

My only hang up is they do let the cold soak through, might go good with fleece pants underneath and a second pair of thick socks, maybe neoprene waders are better (although I know neoprene wetsuits do not last long without serious reinforcement from dredging experience, which is why I kept away from them).

Yes I bought them from this exact website.

Clearings would be my best guess.

I must admit, I do have some neoprene waders myself. But only useful if spot isn't too far away from truck. The nylon option might be nicer for rucksacking in somewhere though :)

No I meant on the Permit report map drawing. Some could be riverbed but others are just
isolated white spots.

Yea if you look at the permit map and then the aerial image I attached above you will see the white bits are where ther is no bush. Unless we are talking about different areas

hey there.. The White spots are either exposed bed rock or slips that have shown up on the map. in the middle of the mikonui river there are a couple that are gravel bars..

Two Wet Socks was created to be able to take people away into the mikonui gorge on charted gold mining/hunting trips. where all the gear needed will be supplied for you to use. the mikonui has not been mined with suction dredges before now! so some finds could be quite large.. the claim starts just below the old cedar creek quartz mine where they were getting an ounce to the tonne of quartz.

you can see what some of the mikonui gorge looks like here...

this guy takes rafting trips through there and could possibly drop you off onto the gold claim if you were to charter a trip.
