Hmmmm......nah........got me stumped too mate. Does it look as if it's broken off something larger? Could be part of a necklace or some other jewelry maybe?
Well done man on the silvers too. Ten per night is a pretty good hit ratio....not to shabby at all!
Brit's or NZ's....or a mix?

Could it be a magnifying glass with the lens missing? Hard to tell from the photo what scale the item is.
And now....On sandy beaches and muddy soil, rings and coins await my coil!

Hey No8 the end of the stem is smooth & theres no marks around the circle so dont think its broken of anything....definitely jewelry I'd imagine though.

Yeah its been awhile since ive had a good coin spot, this place doesn't have alot of rubbish but the ground is a bit rough. Prob 30% brit 70% nz.

I should have put something beside it for scale haha lesson learnt!

Its about 40mm long & theres a reddy/pink glass or stone in it. Its really well made so thinkin it must be jewelry related.

Is the back of the stone mount smooth? No evidence of pins/clasps?

Thinking brooch at the moment.

Earing less the keeper? The pin seems to be pointing in wrong direction though unless it's been bent.

Pin's too thick for earring, that glass looks old with the striations.

Something keeps stirring back to my Grandparents in the back of my mind everytime I see it... I feel I know what it is, but can't pin it.

Looking at the pin again closer, it actually looks rectangular in shape not round.
It wouldn't be some type of old game peice/ marker or counter I wonder.

It's seems like the front is the only face that is viewed or visible.

Cheers for the comments guys, im quite intrigued by the stone (if it is a stone?!) It's kind off see through with faint parallel lines, maybe a citrine? Or just a bit of fancy glass.

I believe the gem is Carnelian, no one I asked recognises the item though.
